In 2010, Lamiez began her career as a disc jockey as she learned and mastered the technique of mixing in the underground scene. At the age of 18, she began her career as a guest host on the Soweto TV show KMTV. By the time she graduated high school, she had become the host of the South African lifestyle show Living The Dream, shown on Tshwane TV.
She has said she was almost done with the entertainment profession after an incident at an audition in which her car was destroyed and her DJ gear was taken. She finally got her big break after seven years on SABC 1's Live Amp.
She has served as the Miss South Africa DJ for the past two years and as the official full-time DJ for Sun City Resort. Together with South African DJ and presenter Lulo Cafe, she took over hosting duties for the dance show Penthouse Session on Metro FM in April 2021. At the 27th South African Music Awards ceremony in July 2021, she served as emcee.
She debuted with the song "Sthokoze," which included The Lowkeys and Drip Gogo, in August of 2021.At the South African Amapiano Awards later that year, she was nominated for Best Amapiano Female DJ Act.
She established the Lamiez Holworthy Foundation to do charitable work on her own terms. The nonprofit helps fund homes for HIV-positive children who have been abused or abandoned.
