Narayangowda Bendiganahalli Bache Gowda is an Indian politician who is the current Member of Parliament from Chikkaballapur in the Lok Sabha (2019-present) and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
B. N. Bache Gowda began his political career with the Janata Party and was a member of the Deve Gowda group, which became the Janata Dal (United) in 1999. However, he later joined the BJP and has been running for office as a BJP member since 2008. He was elected to the Karnataka Vidhan Sabha five times, from Hosakote, in 1978, 1985, 1994, 1999, and 2008. (Vidhana Sabha constituency). In 1989, 2004, and 2013, he was the losing candidate in Hosakote. He served as a minister in Jagadish Shettar's BJP government in 2013, but lost the Hosakote assembly election that year. He ran for Lok Sabha from Chikkaballapur as a BJP candidate in 2014, but lost. He was elected to that seat in 2019.
In 2018, his son Sharath Bachegowda ran as a BJP candidate from Hosakote, but lost to Congress candidate Nagaraj. When Kumaraswamy's ministry was overthrown in 2019, Nagaraj resigned from the Congress. Nagaraj ran as a BJP candidate in the Hosakote by-election. Sharath Bache Gowda ran as a rebel and defeated Nagaraj in the by-election. Sharath Bachegowda later joined Congress.
