As a true freshman at BYU in 2018, Wilson participated in nine games and made seven starts.
He also had two assists.He made his professional debut for BYU against Hawaii, becoming the school's youngest starting quarterback in the process.
At the end of the season, he finished with 120 completions out of 182 attempts, 1,578 yards passing, 12 touchdown passes, and three interceptions.
